FAQ
Rezztek® is a revolutionary material for the blade of the hockey stick that completely replaces traditional hockey tape. Rezztek® is 50% lighter and thinner than tape, and scientifically proven to improve your shot speed, accuracy, and puck control. Unlike tape, Rezztek® is water resistant and water repellent, so it does not gain weight during a game and performs optimally even in third period. If correctly applied, Rezztek® is also more durable than tape.
When properly applied, Rezztek® lasts up to 8-10 sessions.
Replace your Rezztek® when at least 30% of its surface is damaged. Little cuts, puck marks or bruises do not negatively influence the performance of your Rezztek®, they are just scars from battle.
Rezztek® is scientifically proven to improve your shot speed (3%), shot accuracy (6%) and puck control. Rezztek® does not add any unnecessary friction to the bottom of your blade, allowing smoother and quicker stickhandling as well.
No. Rezztek® is water resistant, water repellent and its surface is grippy, so no waxing is necessary.
- Do not remove the Rezztek® right after the game, wait until the stick is completely dry and at room temperature.
- Start at the heel or the toe and peel the Rezztek® slowly, do not yank it off the blade.
- If some residue remains on your blade, a standard adhesive remover does the job quite nicely.
- Apply a new Rezztek® a score more goals.
Rezztek® is fully customizable for all players. You can add your initials or number directly on the Rezztek® (free with the purchase of a Rezztek® 6pack Edition). You can even add your team logo with our Rezztek® Custom Edition. Or support your favorite NHL team with our Rezztek® NHL Edition.
No, it does not. First, a thin layer of cloth tape does not protect your blade from cuts or heavy damage. Second, blades these days are durable, as they are not made of wood like in the old days, but of advanced materials like carbon fiber sheets and resin. So, using a Rezztek® or tape does not matter from the perspective of the durability of your stick blade.
Rezztek® is widely used in the NHL, AHL, NCAA, and all elite leagues around the world. See some selected players that use Rezztek® instead of tape. Or watch pro players discussing Rezztek® here.
We do not recommend re-using a Rezztek®. The adhesive activates with pressure and once Rezztek® is correctly applied, it adheres to the blade with 100% of the adhesive’s power. Every removal and re-applying of Rezztek® decreases the adhesive’s power and might result in not sufficient adhesion to the blade.
No, we also have a Rezztek® Goalie Edition. Goalies looking for better puck control, and quicker and more accurate passes can find it here.
